Sexy!

Hi everyone, Tory here again!!  When I got this smokin' hot  longhorn bull for my design team work, I had a clear plan of what I was going to do with him.... but since then, that plan just flew the coop!! So I was looking at him and thinking... you sure think you're something... and that song, "I'm sexy and you know it" popped into my head... and so a card was born!

And now you're all thinking.... what is she going to go with this crazy card?

Well, my best friend is currently training to do her physical exam for policing. She has to finish that and then do some other tests to become an officer, and most people pass the physical part first because you really have to work out to get in shape. She has to run, drag a body, jump a big fence... and she wasn't so in-shape before she started working out for this. I haven't seen her as she moved about 20 hrs away, but from her emails it sounds like she is shredding the pounds!

So the inside will say something like this:

"Congrats on passing the police exam.... and loving your new smokin' hot body!"

So my inspiration for you today - make the changes in your life to get to your smokin' hot bod, or at least get out in the sunshine and get some excercise... it just might become addictive!

Gemma Pocock's card using both Eureka and QKR digis stamps

I decided to use a digi stamp from both companies to show how easy they blend together, I used the leaf background http://www.eurekastamps.com/proddetail.php?prod=digi26901, coloured them all in using autumn colours with my pro markers. I added the Spider http://www.qkrstampede.com/proddetail.php?prod=digi12301, then searched on the internet for a little saying that would fit it well, and came across this one. I really like both images together and wanted to show you how easy it is to make one project using both sites.

I really enjoyed this card, I have even sent it into a magazine to show off the digi stamps. I have never sent a card to a magazine before so fingers crossed.
If you would like to see a few more of my projects please take a look at my blog http://gemshandmadecards.blogspot.co.uk/

I love you this much...

Hey yall, this is Tangii and I've got an adorable masculine card for you today.  The image is here is digi3001 Bear with Sundae, the men in my family have a very DEEP and meaningful relationship with ice cream...yup, from my Dad all the way down to my youngest son.  This image reminds me of each of them, lol!

Of course I had to have an inside so I chose the digi14618 Love You This Much.  I love the sentiment and I just adore the font!!  It's already seen quite a bit of use :)
I just love how the card turned out and I can send it to any of the men in my life :)  Thanks so much for joining me here today... hope to see you again soon!

How Could I?

Good Saturday morning QKR Stampede Fans.
Today's card is brought to you by;
QKR Stampede Digi17013 Remembered Birthday
&
QKR Stampede Digi11503 Happy Birthday

I know what you are thinking, how could she post this?
After all, you
could complete this card blindfolded and with one
hand tied behind your back!
Hang on the element of surprise is on the inside...

For this creation I dusted off my CHALK and Aqua Pen.  I know!
(Can you really dust off chalk????)
Sometimes I tend to forget all of the supplies I have squirreled away.
When you think about it "chalk" was all the rage before certain
coloring markers hit the scene.

BOO!

Bwahahaha, I love this digi stamp.
The elephant image was perfect for the
pop up portion of this card.

I have
used him (digi17013) a few times in totally different ways.
Here is the other just in case you may have missed it.

Head over to QKR Stampede and do
some shopping this fine Saturday.
You, won't even have to leave your air conditioning!

Happy Stamp Day, God Bless!

Seedling Gift Card...

Good Morning, It is Katie here today with my latest creation using QKR Stampede Digi Images.

This cut stamp from QKR Stampede is so full of summer it just begs to be bright and cheerful!  I decided it would look fab on a little gift card made to hold some seed packets.

Recipe & Method:
1.  To make the base of the card you need to cut an A4 piece of card down on the long side to 29cm, so you are only cutting off 7mm.  Then score along this long side at 13cm and 16cm.  Flip it around to the short side and score at 5cm.  The 5cm is the part you will need to fold up to make the pocket.  You need to cut out the small middle square and fold and stick down the pocket sides.

2.  Colour and cut the Digi Stamp, then layer it onto Yellow card stock.

3. Mat and layer Yellow card stock to the front of the card, then layer the spotty paper on top.  Stick a strip of Green patterned paper down the centre of the card.

4.  Adhere the ribbon around the card so that it will tie at the outer edges.

5.  Attach the stamped image.

6.  Embellish with sentiment and gardening tools, the gardening tools I used were a Quickutz Die that I have had in my stash for years.

I coloured the image using Promarkers: Sunflower, Canary, Sky Blue, Azure, Pumpkin, Spice, Burn't Orange, Magenta, Forest Green.

The digital image can be found here

This stamp would look great on little notecards, which I am going to try next, no doubt I will post them very soon!

QKR blog post for digi stamp "Golfing Turtle"

Gemma Pocock

Good morning everyone, this is my second QKR digi image card and I have to admit that I am hooked. I love all the images and really love the chance of having a play with them.
I chose the turtle playing golf http://www.qkrstampede.com/proddetail.php?prod=digi15307 and added the golf ball on the tee for effect http://www.qkrstampede.com/proddetail.php?prod=digi15308&cat=117. Both were coloured in using Pro Markers, I added the grass so it looks like the poor turtle is in the rough. I used my Spellbinders Nesties Wonky rectangles to mount the images on, anyone who has nesties and who has a fairly good hand for cutting a great little tip is to cut the shape you want in your die cutting machine, then if you want a little mount around the outside, use the same nestie and draw right round the outside and there you have it a thin border, give it a go it really works.
Added the image and the wonky rectangles on to an easle folded card, added the gingham paper to the base, the applied the card candi and finished using the sentiment "Just Fore You" (though the fore bit was very apt for any of you who are not golf friendly you shout Fore when you hit the ball and it warns people it is coming).

Hope you enjoyed reading about my card and would love to know your comments, take a look at my blog for more creations I have come up with.

Gemma Pocock's DT post for Eureka Digi Stamps

Good Morning everyone, hope you are all well on this fine day? Well I am really emjoying my DT post here at Eureka stamps, this is my second card and I am totally in love with lots of the digi stamps, I can not wait to make more fun and exciting things for you all to look at.
I decided to use my hougie board and hougie book which are all pretty new to me and I have to say I don't know how I coped without them, this card too a matter of minutes to make where as before it would have taken hours with all the measuring.
I used the digital image of a butterfly on the flower (http://www.eurekastamps.com/proddetail.php?prod=20801&cat=19), coloured in with pro markers. I glittered the butterfly and the tops of the flowers to make them stand out. I found some purple paper that went well with the purple flowers, cut to size for the diamond and a strip at the bottom, I then added my stamped sentiment "With Sympathy" and added some purple gems.

There are lots more posts on my blog with the work I have done, I would love you all to take a look and give me your comments, I hope you all have a lovely day and thanks for looking.

God Gives Music

I'm posting today from Eureka.  As often happens, I got an idea for a card last night (even though I already had a card ready to post today!) A glitter theme challenge on another blog (not a stamp company) inspired me to get out my glitter -- something I have done maybe three times in ten years, lol, I'm not much of a glitter fan! But I had fun with this card ... especially when I realized that two of the glitter sheets I owned - and have not used at all in the five or more years I have owned them -- were perfect matches for the glitters I had already chosen before remembering the glitter sheets existed! I found it while looking for background paper, where I also unexpectedly found the cool copper material (not exactly cardstock, but not orinary paper). All in all, I was satisfied with my simple card.

The first card I made with glitter was a waste; the glitter clung to the embossed image of clear on black, which is what my first desire was for the image. I then tried the copper, and after embossing, decided to let it sit for a much longer time than I had the clear. The very first time I embossed it, I had done clear embossing with black powder, and decided to see if gel pens would give the glitter look I sought. It didn't, but I liked it, and while the copper cooled, I finished the second card. My photographing job does not show the beautiful emerald green of the unique, foil-like background paper, and the glitter pens worked much nicer than you see here. Still, I wanted to include it just because it's a very different look than the other card, despite the near identical layouts.

When I went to Houghton College in the early eighties, I had a friend who would let me sit behind his piano in one of the music rooms. He was a composition major, and wrote absolutely beautiful piano pieces. When he played, despite the fact that he was not singing, the music clearly was centered on the Lord, and I worshipped as I listened. So although texts like the one of this stamp can sometimes seem trite, I find truth in it.

Every Mother's Child

Created by Deb

Isn't that the truth? And isn't it wonderful that Mother Nature ensures this is so? I had to smile when first saw this image. Beautifully said!

This image can be found here: Pretty Child. I printed it in the original size. It was then cut and embossed with Spellbinders and sponged while still in the die with Distress Ink Milled Lavender.

This shaped card was cut with Spellbinders and the bottom trimmed off so it would stand. Cut a piece of cardstock large enough for the card base, fold it in half, and place the die on the doubled paper so that the fold is just inside the cutting edge of the die. Then cut another piece of the same cardstock, emboss and adhere to the front of the card.

The safety pins were cut with Cricut's New Arrival cartridge at 2" default. They were then outlined with Stickles. Stickle dots are also featured on the sentiment.

I learned a trick for eye-catching embellishments - it's buttons! Wait until your favorite fabric store has a sale on buttons and then stock up on some really pretty ones.  If they are the kind with a shank, just snip them off with a cutter from your garage tool box. I then adhere them to the page with a dab of E6000 adhesive that I purchase in the jewellery making area at Michaels.

The double bow is tied on the fingers. I learned this technique from the blog of the fabulous Ann Schach.

Feel Better Soon

Hi Crafty Friends!!
Happy Thursday!

Today for My DT Card, I Chose to use this Sweet Stamp:  Elephant Tears

I Colored this sweet guy with Copics. I Used Scraps & Of Course Pulled from my Crafty Stash for everything else to make this simply sweet Get Well Card. Yes, My elephant is blue. He's blue since he's sad. I like to color outside the box sometimes! :) Thanks for stopping by today! I would love for you to stop by my Blog sometime and say hello: Crafty and Green.

Many Blessings,
Tina

I (heart) U

Hello blog fans!  Kristie sharing today.
Today's card was inspired by one I saw on Pinterest.
Unfortunately, I don't know whose blog it came from,
so I can't give credit where credit is due.
If you recognize it, let me know and I will give credit.
Pop up cards are always fun and not nearly as hard to make as you'd think.
This one is a little tougher to figure out a template for, but it's really just a matter of cutting and folding.
On the front of the card I used
"I am Blessed" (#36313) and
"Swirl Heart" (#32402)
They are both stamped onto white cardstock, then I added some little self stick bling to the heart.
I used stones from a bling word that I found at one of the big box craft stores for a 50 cents. You know how they have them marked down sometimes, because they are names or words that no one buys?
I buy them and just use the individual pieces, they cut apart easily with a craft knife or scissors. So don't pass them up because your name isn't Yolanda, find the longest name or word you can find in the bin and pick them up cheap.
And here is the pop up inside of my card.
Isn't is cool?
Thanks for stopping by today, leave me a comment and let me know what you think of my card.
I'd love for you to stop at my blog, Kristie Kreates, and see what else I've been working on.
Then why not stop in to the Biblical Impressions online store
and see what great stamps you can find to go with a cool pop up card of your own?!?!

I'll give you a hint ... my son just moved into his new home so mass production was involved.

I hope you have a marvelous day!

Until next time ... Enjoy!

Super Simple Scripture Card

I'm posting today from Biblical Impressions.  I love this verse from Jeremiah 29:11 ... but it often is considered outside of its original context ... read the entire chapter of the book to get a fresh understanding of the scripture!  (I also went into more explanation on my blog). This verse is also found as a bookmark image, and Eureka also carries Jeremiah 29:11 - in fact, when "mentally designing" this card a few days before I went to make it, I actually had the Eureka version in mind, only to realize I didn't actually own it, lol!

Design Card I Made

I chooses this digi stamp called Old Tree from qkrstampede and I colour it in promarkers pen and green gel pens and background in distress ink, then I got spellbinder called labels one and did same as my mirror card. I love this tree and I had a thought of my background to go with the tree is I got mask of leaves and spray it with cosmic shimmer mist called golden mint. I have punch flowers called floral in green spray to match it with green gems on.

My First DT Card for QKR by Gemma Pocock

Well I am so excited to share my first DT card for QKR.
I used a shaped card base in white, embossed some cordinations blue card with a Forever Friends boat embossing folder, then sanded off the top layer to reveal the core colour. I then stuck them in a diamond shape one on top of the other. I then added my coloured duck in a ring image (http://www.qkrstampede.com/proddetail.php?prod=7006) in pro and flex markers, then added the same coloured cordinations card and matt and layered with yellow to pick up the detail of the duck. I finished off by added some blue glittery border peel offs, sentiment from CraftWork Cards, Card Candi and star embelishment.

I hope you like my card I know I enjoyed making it, take a look at my blog for other cards etc, I have made http://gemshandmadecards.blogspot.co.uk/

The Fruit of the Spirit

Hi everyone!

Tory popping by again to show you a fabulous new project I whipped up!

I used The Fruit of the Spirit stamp from Eureka to make this display shadow box as a Christmas gift. I know... I'm starting early on the Christmas gifts, but I want to make lots of them this year, so its time to get going!! Stop by my blog to see what else I am up to!

Here is my shadow box:

I used my Silhouette Cameo to print & cut the digi in the shape, and then inked it with some Walnut Distress Ink. I used some ancient Fancy Pants paper (2009ish) and some flowers from Petaloo and Recollections. The wood cross I bought at Michael's and then stained with my Walnut Ink refiller and a sponge, and coated with some pewter crackle paint to give some more texture.

Hope I have inspired you to get working on your Christmas gifts!

Your Smile Flip Flap Fold

Your card today is brought to you by
QKR Stampede
designed by
Sara Paschal
It is a digi hybrid and a fun fold to boot!
Let's call it the Flip Flap Fold**

Your Smile card used the following QKR Stampede digital images

Digital kit papers from
Just My Type

Robins Nest dew drops
dimensional foam
Tombow Multi Adhesive
photoshop elements
HP 7000 printer
Scor-Pal

I colored the digital stamp using the color picker and paint bucket found in photoshop express.
This is a great way to match your colors to the digital papers you are using.
I printed off the Sunny Day Bear Twice so I could fussy cut part of him and
pop him off the card base with dimensional foam.
I adhered the dew drops with Tombow Multi adhesive.

For the sentiment digi I plopped it onto a cloud element printed and fussy cut the image.
I also went around the edges of the cloud with the blade of a scissors for some distressing and adhered it to the card with dimensional foam.
A little bit 'bout me...

My First DT Post!

Happy Friday to all of you!!

I'm Cheryl and this is my very first post.  I'm so thrilled to be a new member of the Eureka! Stamps Design Team!  I absolutely love the digital stamp that I chose to share with you today! It's 4601 Lg Happy Birthday with Balloons.  Let me show you my finished card and then I'll talk about the details.

There's so much wonderful detail in this digital stamp!  I used Spectrum Noir markers, OR1, TB2,  DG2 and BP1, as well as colored pencils.  You can't really see it very well, but I added colored glitter glue to all of the confetti.

After I got my image colored and glittered, I "fussy cut" around it and attached it to the patterned paper, which was already attached to my cardbase.  I tied four really small bows out of narrow, orange ribbon and attached a bow in each corner.  Here's another view of my finished card:

I really appreciate the opportunity to be part of this talented group!  To see more of my work, please visit my blog.  Until next time,

Marleen DT

Hello everyone..

I have exciting news to share today...

A while back, an american company called QKR stampede had a DT call. They sent an invite around Facebook for all to come and try out. I pressed "maybe" on the even as I was quite blocked up with DT work as it was, and soon forgot all about it. Now I had already been in looking at their store, blog ect and already fallen in love with the images, it was mearly a matter of the extra time...

BUT litlle did I know, till a while later, Im sitting sortting e-mails, when a mail catches my eyes..
It was from Maribeth from QKR stampede saying she had seen my "maybe", loved my work, and was there any chance I would concider to be part of her DT...
Well you tell ME how could I possible say no..

So here I go... My very first DT project for QKR stampede
Im proud to be part of the team, and hope you like what I have made using this fab digi.

Its a simple card. The base card is cut using an X-cut die, as are the wooden paper. The image is printed, coloured with Promarkers and simply cut out. the greeting is a die cut, and I just added 2 brads to finish.

I love this little card, and it shows my style really well. Its simple, off center, and smothered in distress ink..

I hope you all like it, and THANK YOU for stopping by my blog, and for any comments left behind.
Huge Hugs, Marleen xxx

Coloring partial images.

Hello and welcome!
Kristie here today to share a card
I made with
"Butterfly and Sunflower" (#20801)
I wanted to do something a little different with this card and decided that I would do this technique where you only color part of the image.
I stamped the image onto a piece of white cardstock cut to a strip smaller than the image.
I colored the image with FlexMarkers.
I then stamped the image onto the peach colored cardstock and adhered the colored image over it to line up exactly.
I think it could be a much more dramatic look with a narrower strip of white, but I wanted to have the entire butterfly colored.
Next time I will probably use a taller image that will have more uncolored on the background cardstock.
The ribbon I used is some lovely satin ribbon from May Arts.
I'm pretty pleased with how this card turned out.
Why not pop into the Eureka! Stamps site and see what images you might want to use this technique with?
Thanks for stopping today, leave a comment if you will
and come again soon.
Be sure to stop in to my blog, Kristie Kreates and see what other things I've been working on.

Baby Carriage

I'm posting a card from Biblical Impressions today!  I have a bunch of babycards from when I used to sell cards, but all I have left are boy blue or girl pink cards. I forgot about this, until I went to grab a card from my stash for a baby shower last week. The couple has decided not to discover the baby's gender in advance. So, off to work I went!

Details: I stamped the small carriage image from Biblical Impressions four times (there is a larger size as well). I cut out the wheels from one set, colored the rims with black pencil, then used my versamark pen for the wheel hubs, and embossed in silver. I cut out the carriage body, sans wheels and the portion of the ribbon that is off the carriage, and colored teh blanket and lace. Then I cut the carriage out again, this time also eliminating the lace and the blanket. This step could be skipped, but I wanted the extra layer. I used a slightly textured cardstock for the ribbon to give it a more fabric-like look. I assembled the pieces, and attached to the circle. The Psalm127:3 scripture was simply stamped with black.

In all honesty, this was a very time consuming card ... not because the card itself was that difficult, but I just kept smearing black ink or pencil on the white suraces!  I forgot my habit of keeping a wet baby wipe on hand to keep rubbing my fingers on while working with color on white!  Additionally, the spellbinder die was a nightmare to work with. Note to self: anytime purchasing a new set, I need to immediatley test all dies while I still have the return receipt! I used another die in the set a couple of months ago with no problem, but this one ... wow!  Kristie just gave me a tip on this: use waxed paper between the die and the paper and it will come out a lot easier. I will try this next time.  However, just to give you ideas in case this doesn't work, I'll still post the pictures I took of what I did:

As you see, three corners were torn off in the effort to extract the piece.

After that one, I thought I would try again, this time with some very strong cardstock I have. The results were just slightly better.  I cut it down to this, I thought I'd show it as it looked before weaving the ribbon through:

I went back to the first one, to show you two other possibilities I could have done.  I decided it looked a bit weird, so I trimmed it down more, but for a different style card, it might have worked (notice I trimmed the little side nobs on one end):

King of the Jungle

Created by Deb
See my Blog at Paper Crazy Lady

When I first spotted this not so ferocious-looking Lion image, I knew he was very special. I ordered him in a digital version, and that makes it so easy to customize his size to exactly fit your project. The sentiment can be found Here

This lion is printed in the original size onto X-Press It Blending Card. He was then colored with Copics E30, E31, E33, E34 and E35. His crown is done in Y26 and Y28, with a touch of Stickles in Star Dust. After I allowed the Copics to dry well, I moistened a piece of a washcloth with Blending Solution and dabbed gently to create fur. Gold, Buttermilk, Gold and Chocolate Spica pens put extra sparkle in his main. Frayed Burlap Distress Ink was used to sponge the edges of the white paper. Dots of gold Liquid Pearls add a little bling.

The card base is a 6" square, and is cut of Stardream Metallics. Bright Gold Stardream is used here for the photo frame. Spellbinders dies were used to cut the frame and flourish. The patterned paper is SEI.

Doesn't he look cute enough to snuggle?

You've Been on My Heart

Hi everyone, Tory here! This is my first post on the design team, so thanks for visiting!

The digi I chose to play with was 55901 On My Heart, which I love. I knew I needed it right away for a sympathy card for a friend. This could also be used just to say hello or I'm thinking of you!

Here is my card:

I used Copics to color the image, then added some bling to the butterfly to make it stand out by lightly painting on a layer of glitter glue. I love how that made the butterfly look more alive! I inked the edges and then stuck it on the cardstock. This is a huge card, 6" x 7.5" which will really serve to make this card the centre of my friend's card display!

I hope I've inspired you to get creative!!

Until next time,
~T

Pear

Hello!  Kristie here today!
Today I'm showing you a card I made with
"Pear" (#3801) from QKR Stampede.
I stamped the image randomly on white cardstock with black ink and also stamped one image onto cardstock to be colored with FlexMarkers.
I cut down the strip and layered it onto green cardstock, and did the same with the single colored image.
I used some ribbon from my stash that I thought went well with the image.
I like how this card turned out and I think this would be a lovely card for just about any occasion.
I hope you have enjoyed my post today and will leave me a comment and come by again soon.
In the meantime, pop into the QKR Stampede online shop and see what images you might like to work with.
They offer unmounted red rubber as well as digital format stamps.

Life's A Beach...

Good Morning Everyone, it is Katie here today to share my latest card with you:

Today I am posting a lovely summery card.  The weather in the UK is far from sunny but this card brings a little Sunshine!

The Digi Stamp can be found here

I have made this into an easel card, using lots of bright seaside colours.

Recipe & Method:
1.  Make an 8" x 8" Easel card from Kraft card.
2. Mat and layer yellow card stock onto the top of the card and the bottom layer.
3.  Stick the stripy blue paper onto the bottom layer, scallop the bottom of the blue paper for the top card and stick it down.
4.  Add a section of red spotty paper to both the top card and the bottom.
5. Colour and cut the image and layer it onto first red paper, then yellow cardstock and Kraft card.  Add the ribbon and the button embellishment.
6. Adhere to spotty paper and attach to card.
7. Print and cut the "Life's A Beach" sentiment and layer it onto the shell paper and attach to card.
8. Embellish using the bunting and the sandcastles.

I have used Promarkers to colour the images: Ivory, Dusky Pink, Sky Blue, Berry Red, Lime Green, Sunflower, Vanilla, Mustard.

I really enjoyed making this card from this image, I think it is one I will use again and again.
